Mappy ("we", "our", or "us") provides a shared space for couples to document their relationship. We believe your memories should be private, secure, and permanent. This policy explains how we handle your data with total transparency.

1. DATA WE COLLECT

We only collect the information necessary to provide the Mappy experience:

• Account Information: Your name and email address, used to create your account and link you with your partner.
• App Content: The memories, photos, travel logs, letters, and wishlist items you and your partner upload to your shared timeline.
• Subscription Data: We use RevenueCat to manage Mappy Premium. We do not see or store your credit card or payment information; this is handled entirely by Apple and RevenueCat.
• Device Permissions: We only access your Photo Library or Camera when you explicitly choose to upload a memory. We do not harvest or profile your local photo library.

2. SHARED CONTENT & OWNERSHIP

Mappy is designed as a collaborative digital scrapbook. Because the data created in the app represents a shared history, we handle ownership as follows:

• Joint Records: When you contribute a photo, note, or trip to a shared timeline, that content becomes part of a joint record accessible to both you and your linked partner.
• Account Deletion: If you choose to delete your account, we will permanently remove your personal identity (name, email, and login credentials).
• Memory Preservation: To preserve the personal history of your partner, the memories and trips you shared will remain visible in their timeline. If you want specific content removed forever, you must delete those items manually before closing your account.

3. HOW YOUR DATA IS SHARED

• With Your Partner: By design, the content you create is shared instantly with your linked partner.
• Service Providers: We use Supabase for secure data storage and RevenueCat for subscription management. These partners are strictly prohibited from using your data for any other purpose.
• No Advertising: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties or advertisers. We do not use your memories for data mining or profiling.

4. ACCOUNT DELETION & RETENTION

We retain your data only for as long as your account is active.
